Skyslope Transaction Management
For decades, we used individual-divided notebooks to house the dozens of documents in various categories that pile up during a transaction. When a transaction closed, we would break down the notebook of documents and store them in individual folders arranged in ten ream copy paper boxes. It worked just fine, and there was really no reason to change it other than taking up a lot of storage space and being a little difficult to find a particular transaction among stacked boxes in the storage shed. Then things changed which forced us to look for a different solution.
At random times, State auditors will contact us, without warning, to scrutinize our transactions in order to make sure we are in compliance with the many rules and regulations surrounding the real estate business. Washington State implemented a law which requires all real estate brokers to make available every text and email they exchange with their clients during a transaction. This is something that logistically is very hard to comply with if not for the technology within the Skyslope Transaction Management system.
