Prospecting and cultivating, with the goal to convert the leads, never ends. Even when you get to the point where most of your business comes from repeat customers and referrals, you are still prospecting, cultivating, and converting. What happens is at the beginning of your career, you are working hard to find people to work with through various prospecting methods we will discuss. As time goes on, and if you do it right, your closed clients and other acquaintances, otherwise known as your sphere of influence, become the bulk of your business, and life becomes much easier. So, put the hard work in at the beginning, and as time goes on, you will reap the benefits of that hard work.
