NOTE! This page is critical in your success as a real estate broker. DON’T SKIM OVER OR SKIP IT.
We’re hoping you are not overwhelmed at this point. Yes, that was a lot of information to go through in a relatively short period of time. A lot of brokers, if not most, aren’t exposed to as many business building tools, resources, ideas, instructions, etc., in their entire career. Your head is probably swimming.
One thing you are surely thinking about is what should I do now. So here’s the situation. You’ve been exposed to and given access to every tool and resource you need to become wildly successful. However, there’s still more to learn and implement. In many cases, what you went through in the onboarding courses was more technical and undergrad level. There are different types of skills you also need to learn if you really want to jump start your career. As an example, we haven’t gone over personality profiling, various types and methods of prospecting, time management, methods of establishing rapport, detailed scripts and dialogues for every buyer and seller situation, and other aspects of the business you need to learn. Don’t feel you have to do this in the next few days. However, if you don’t take the time to learn these things, you will never achieve the success you had hoped for. Most brokers never do take the time to learn this stuff. A few will ultimately grasp some of these things through time in the business. But by then, they’ve developed bad habits and won’t actually spend the time and money to get properly educated. Get in the habit of scheduling a half-hour or so each morning to continue your education, starting with the courses you see on this page.
In the Masters Degree section, we will direct you to a series of skill-building and business-building courses we highly recommend you go through as you are integrating into the world of real estate sales. By continuing your education through these courses and actually putting the skills into practice, you will find your production levels steadily rising until you are selling more and making more money than 90% of the brokers out there. Never stop learning. The top producers of this world are working on their skills and systems on a daily basis.

NEVER STOP LEARNING
It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you continue your learning process throughout your career. From time to time we will add additional materials to the Continuing Education group and modules we have on this site. It is suggested that you start with some of the important basics such as the courses we have on Scripts and Dialogues, Time Management, Building Rapport, and Methods of Prospecting For Business. There are links at the bottom of this page to take you to these courses. They will help hone your skills of making the most out of each day and connecting meaningfully with your prospects and clients so you will develop Top of Mind Awareness (TOMA).
MAKE SURE YOU ARE PREPARED FOR LEADS
Now that you have finished your onboarding courses, you are eligible for company leads as soon as you enter your Sphere of Influence into Followup Boss. You need to be prepared with the skills and knowledge of how to work your leads through the Ylopo/Follow Up Boss systems. Every lead, acquaintance, sphere of influence, raving fan, etc. should be in Follow Up Boss, assigned to a “Stage”, and tagged for easy sorting. Raving Fans should have both a Sphere tag and a Raving Fan tag. You should have the knowledge and skills to manage your ever-growing database.
WORK YOUR SPHERE OF INFLUENCE!
Everyone you know should be in your Follow Up Boss CRM and be on either the SOI or the SOI AND Raving Fan action plan. Your number one priority is to grow your SOI so that, eventually, you are no longer dependent on new business. You are as busy as you want to be taking care of repeat clients and referrals.
GROW YOUR SKILLS AND LEAD CONVERSION RATIOS THROUGH WORKING COMPANY LEADS
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you look at the leads we provide as an extremely important part of building you lead conversion skills. However, you can’t make a living on company leads alone. They are meant to supplement your own efforts until such time as you don’t need them anymore.
If you don’t work them hard and skillfully, however, they will be of little use to you. Believe me, you do not want to be working with cold, difficult, and many times rude and ungratefull leads who could care less about you, for the rest of your career. By working hard and smart on these leads, you will gain valuable experience and skills working all types of people. However, the goal is to get off of them as soon as you can and focus on your SOI and prospecting methods you enjoy. Outside of making sure you are on top of the phone calls and other housekeeping thihngs that come up on your leads, you should be spending the bulk of your time prospecting for business through whatever other means you have chosen, and continue to learn through the various courses we provide on this site.
MAKE SURE YOUR BUSINESS PLAN IS DONE AND IMPLEMENTED
If you haven’t yet, the most important element of your business plan is to choose and implement two prospecting methods besides the leads you get from the company and your SOI. I highly recommend and, in fact, it’s CRITICAL that you go through the entire Business Building course in order to help you develop your business plan. It will help you decide which prospecting methods feel right to you and that you will actually work on. While all of the courses on this site are important in one way or another, if I were to choose the absolute number one course which will help you the most in your career, it’s Business Building.
Master the following skills and you will go very far in this business!
BUSINESS BUILDING

Business Building is where you will learn what top producers are doing and recommend for brand new to seasoned but struggling brokers. It gives you tried and proven means to move your career forward in a positive direction filled with successes and increasing satisfaction both monetarily and emotionally.
TIME MANAGEMENT
There are only so many hours in a day, obviously. Time management is skillful allocation of that time, including time for yourself. Burnout is real. Been there, done that, big time. You want to avoid it so you can continue producing at a steady but manageable pace. Dirk Zeller is a master of time management. If you only go through one lesson, I would opt for that one. However, Tom Ferry has a lot of great pointers also.

BUILDING RAPPORT

If you think about it, the skill of building rapport with people is THE most important skill to develop. If you can’t get your prospects to connect with you, and do so quickly, it’s unlikely they will become your clients.
SCRIPTS and DIALOGUES
We are providing a variety of scripts and dialogues from several industry top trainers. They each have a different style so we hope you can relate to one of them and take advantage of their years of experience with proven results.
