The more information you add to your Google My Business page, the more effective it will be. Your business address should already be set, but there are a number of other details to fill in.
- Category – you should definitely set what category your business is in.
- Opening Times – set your opening times so that when someone views your GMB page they know when they can and cannot call you.
- Phone Number – make it easy for people to contact you
- Website – make sure your personal business website link is set, so people can easily visit your website to find out more about you.
- Appointment URL – you can also set an appointment URL to make it even easier for customers to book your services. We have provided you both a “Contact Me” link, and a “Schedule a Meeting” link.
- Add Photos – make sure you set your business logo and a cover photo. You can also add more photos, giving you the opportunity to showcase more about your business. You’ll definitely want to show photos of homes. Make your business stand out if you have the photos available. Let us know if you need images and we can supply you with some.
- Reviews – Google reviews are, of course, a very important part of GMB. Encourage your clients to write positive reviews on Google so you have a five-star rating. Testimonials are a powerful way to show how your business is appreciated.
- Posts – Share events or content from your website’s blog. A post will last for 1 week before it needs updating.
The more information you provide Google about your business the greater the benefit you will receive from your Google My Business page, so make sure you set the time aside to fill in the details.
