NWMLS Orientation and State Advertising Guidelines
SEASONED BROKERS NOTE! If you are a seasoned broker and have already taken most, if not all, of the NWMLS courses, I suggest that you skim through this course and mark things as complete if you are comfortable that you don't need a refresher. Otherwise, do look at anything that you may not be 100% sure about.
The NWMLS and Follow Up Boss are the two resources you will utilize the most. While you pay for your membership in the NWMLS, the company provides Follow Up Boss and many other tools and resources to help you become as successful as you want to be. We want you to have the best of the best and everything the very top producers have. However, it's up to you to know how to use them to reach the goals you set for yourself.
While it’s important that you know how to utilize and navigate all of the other tools and resources, it’s especially important that you know the NWMLS and Follow Up Boss inside and out. You need to know not only what they are capable of, but how to utilize them to the fullest extent. You could own the fastest race car but unless you know how to drive it, you will never win a race.
The training for the NWMLS is divided into four parts. A general overview of what the NWMLS is all about, the Rules and Regulations put forth by the NWMLS, the Required Courses you must take to gain full access to the features, and Optional Courses which we also highly recommend you take. Knowing the NWMLS systems like the back of your hand will allow you to navigate many of the challenges and opportunities you will encounter in the real estate business.
In addition, we are using this course to teach you about the Washington State D.O.L. Advertising Guidelines.
